Build Your Brand with Claude · Session 4 of 4

Building a
content system.

Live session update

We're building this to be fully self-contained in Claude. Everything gets saved as a file in your Cowork workspace — calendar, expanded content, monthly rerun prompts. Claude can read it back next month, update it automatically, and run the whole system as a scheduled task.

Phase 5 shows you how to save everything and set up the automation. If you're in Cowork, you're about to see what it actually means for Claude to do the work — not just generate text you have to paste somewhere else.

Why content matters now more than ever

Phase 1 of 5 · Context engineering — tell Claude who you are

Claude is only as good as the context you give it

Most people open Claude and type "write me a LinkedIn post." That's why the output feels generic. Context engineering means front-loading the information Claude needs to actually know you — your situation, your audience, your relationship to posting — before you ask it to do anything. Answer these 4 questions. Your answers become Prompt 0: the context that runs underneath everything else in today's session.

Question 1 of 4
What do you actually do — in plain language?
Not your job title. What you actually spend your time on, who you help, and what you're trying to accomplish right now. Pick the one that's closest.
Question 2 of 4
Who reads your content — or who should?
Think about the people you want to be visible to. Not everyone on LinkedIn — the specific people whose opinion of you matters.
Question 3 of 4
How do you feel about putting yourself out there?
Honest answer only. This changes what kind of content we build. Not every format works for every person — better to calibrate now than write posts you'll never actually publish.
Question 4 of 4
What's the one thing you know better than most people in your network?
Not your job title. Not a vague skill. The specific thing — the thing you'd teach if someone asked, the lens you bring that others don't. Pick the closest, or use it as a starting point and customize in Claude.

💡

Add anything Claude can't know from your answers alone. Your specific domain niche. The type of expertise you've built over years — and who exactly your audience is (job titles, not just "senior people"). Content styles you've tried before or writers you admire. The more you give it, the less generic the output.

Format follows opinion — know what you're trying to say first

Before you pick a format, you need to pick the type of content you want to share — not just the container it goes in. A strong take can be told as a story, a how-to, or a direct opinion piece. The format is secondary. Click through the four approaches below and pick the one that matches what you actually want to put out into the world.
