I spent years inside institutions — learning, researching, building. Somewhere along the way, I noticed that the most interesting work wasn't happening inside them. It was being built by people with ideas, the right tools, and the willingness to ship before it was perfect.

I started using AI not to automate what I already knew, but to build things I couldn't build before — tools, demos, full products that used to require a team. Side projects that became real businesses. When I started sharing what I was building, people didn't ask for inspiration. They asked: how do you actually do that?

So I built a framework and launched it at Stanford, where it became one of the most popular course listings in Continuing Studies. I teach it there, on Leland, and now through Angela Builds.

My clients are ambitious professionals, not developers. They have real ideas, limited time, and a full-time job they haven't quit yet. What they needed was proof that building something real — on the side, with AI — is actually possible. And someone who's actually done it to walk them through it.
